The renovation of this young family's home began with an update to the primary suite and grew to include a complete renovation. By closely coordinating with the project’s architect and the clients, we completely revised and expanded the once cramped and inefficient layout. The new home design includes an open stairwell tower and upper landing, new kitchen, walk-in pantry, dining room, family room, living room, and the addition of a guest bedroom wing for visiting grandparents. We added windows to better connect the interior with the beautiful wooded property. Our clients favored a contemporary design aesthetic and wanted their home to better reflect their personalities and active lifestyle, so we used simple – yet strong – color palettes, a mixture of wood and tile textures, and industrial design elements to make this custom home the perfect fun family retreat.
